The Office of Immediate Past Master (IPM) is held by the brother who most recently served as Worshipful Master of the lodge. While not always a constitutional office, the IPM plays an important advisory role, offering experience, continuity, and guidance to the current Master and officers.

He helps preserve the traditions of the lodge, supports leadership development, and ensures a smooth transition between administrations by sharing insight gained from his term in the office.
